About Aetherya
Aetherya is a frontier cognitive simulation lab building computational models of human perception, behavior and decision-making.
Our research focuses on synthetic humans: persistent, behaviorally grounded agents capable of interpreting information, experiencing uncertainty, forming objections, changing beliefs and making decisions within simulated environments.
We combine foundation models with cognitive architectures, behavioral dynamics, population grounding and multi-agent simulation to study how individuals and groups react before real-world exposure.
Overview
This is not simply a frontend role. It is a product-building role at the point where Aetherya’s intelligence becomes software.
What you would own
- Simulation Studio, experiment creation and audience configuration
- Simulation workflows, results exploration and behavioral visualizations
- Agency workspaces, templates, branded reports and white-label experiences
- Enterprise APIs, integrations, data ingestion, exports and webhooks
- Frontend architecture, backend APIs, databases, queues and auth
- Billing, observability, performance, deployment and developer tooling
Product instincts matter
- Why does this need to exist, and who is it for?
- What decision does the workflow help someone make?
- Can it scale to agencies, white-label experiences and APIs?
- What happens with 100 customers, or 100,000 users?
- Are we building platform infrastructure or a one-off feature?
Technical environment
- TypeScript, React and Next.js
- Python and/or Rust backend services
- PostgreSQL, REST and streaming APIs
- Queues, asynchronous jobs and cloud infrastructure
- Authentication, billing and analytics
- LLM and AI APIs
Who we are looking for
You may be a product engineer, full-stack engineer, founding engineer, technical founder, indie hacker or an unusually capable student builder. Formal seniority matters less than evidence that you can ship.
You will participate in product decisions, architecture, customer feedback, feature design, prototyping, engineering and iteration. This is not a role for months of Jira-ticket implementation.
Compensation
This is an equity-compensated founding-team position. Indicative grant: approximately 1.0% of Aetherya, based on ability, ownership, commitment and expected impact. Vesting and final legal documentation apply. There is currently no cash salary.

- Take multiple capabilities from idea to architecture, prototype and customer usage
- Improve Simulation Studio materially
- Build reusable agency workflows and white-label architecture
- Ship client workspaces and simulation APIs
- Turn customer requests into scalable platform capabilities
